This edition marks the 6th edition of this digital newsletter which was introduced in January 2025.
A principal objective of the Society is to promote the British White breed. In recent years the Society has invested heavily in developing targeted strategies and related plans to deliver on this objective.
Digital marketing is no longer optional, it’s a fundamental part of how organisations grow, communicate and compete in what is now a digital world. The digital universe is where people discover brands (in our case breeds), research and gather information and ultimately make purchasing decisions. If we are not visible where our target audience spends their time then we will not achieve our objective.
This newsletter is just one element of our digital marketing strategy but it is intrinsically linked to the others; social media, the website and targeted digital mail and advertising campaigns.
At a recent community-based newspaper event to celebrate 100 editions, the publication’s editor noted that in today’s increasingly concentrated media landscape, small local newspapers and newsletters are declining but that theirs was actually growing and growing outside of the community it was formed to serve. Why was their publication bucking the trend and such a success? Because, “the community has our back”! The community sees value in the publication, its objectives, and supports it in many and diverse ways.
We’d love to see our members get behind us in a similar way. Read and engage with your newsletter, share with relevant industry partners and send us leads on interesting relevant topics.
We hope you have enjoyed reading about British White cattle, industry relevant articles, the Society and those who are passionate about ensuring this important heritage breed thrives and prospers in Australia’s beef cattle industry.
Wishing all our members, supporters, subscribers and partners a very Happy Christmas and a productive and rewarding new year.
