In addition to continuing to show on her local show circuit, Ghinni Ghinni British White’s Makayla Saunders once again flew the flag for the breed at the Canberra Royal in February. Exhibiting 5 head this year and taking out a raft of ribbons in the British White classes. With a selection of younger animals this year most of whom were bred by her notable successes were:
- Grand Champion British White Female- Ravenswood Victoria
- Grand Champion British White Bull – Ghinni Ghinni Arlo V8
- Champion British White Sires Progeny Group: Ghinni Ghinnia Arlo V8, Ghinni Ghinni Snowflake W1 & Ghinni Ghinni Eleanor W4, sired by Vale Hill Farm Biscotti.
- Supreme British White Exhibit: Ravenswood Victoria.
It was great to see Hannah Molyneux from Billengin stud near Canberra helping Makayla with her line up in the show ring.
While ultimately unsuccessful in the Interbreed class Makayla is a winner in our eyes for raising the profile of the British White breed and her year-on-year improvement in the show ring. Congratulations and a huge thank you Makayla.
Makayla is also hoping to show at the Brisbane Royal, aka the Ekka this year.
