A key selling point for British White cattle is that they are naturally polled. In line with Council’s focus on reviewing the breed standard and ensuring British White cattle continue to meet their target market expectations, Council determined at its March 2025 meeting that the Regulations be amended to require that any applications for registrations for bulls received by the Society on and from 1 July 2025, must be supported by DNA testing proving the animal to be homozygous polled. These tests are available as part of the Neogen BW Bundle.
